Using the service
These terms apply to your use of WhatAnIP. Use the tools lawfully and within the limits shown. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
Permitted use
Use the tools to understand public network information or troubleshoot systems you are authorized to test. Do not use them to harass others, attempt unauthorized access, overload systems, bypass usage controls or distribute unlawful content.
Results and limitations
Results are informational and depend on DNS resolvers, registries, data providers and network conditions. They may be incomplete, cached or inaccurate. Verify important decisions with the relevant provider or system owner. IP location does not identify an exact address. An unlisted blacklist result does not guarantee that an address is safe or that email will be delivered.
Availability and limits
Free usage limits and available tools may change. Requests can be delayed or blocked to protect service capacity. Third-party outages and quotas may prevent a lookup. The service does not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular outcome.
Third-party records
Registration, network and reputation records originate from third parties. WhatAnIP cannot change registry ownership, remove a blacklist entry or control a third-party DNS record. Direct correction or removal requests to the responsible organization.
Responsibility
Use reasonable care when interpreting results or acting on them. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
